Free coding workshops for women, trans and non-binary people — no experience needed.

A Berlin community (formerly Rails Girls Berlin) working to close the gender gap in tech since 2012.

Why we exist

Fewer than 20% of computer science students are women, which leaves women and non-binary people mostly using technology rather than building it. We organize free coding workshops for women, non-binary and trans people without prior experience, led by skilled volunteer coaches who want to grow the number of women* in tech. We keep groups small — one dedicated coach for every two or three learners — in a cozy space where questions are always welcome and there is no pressure or competition.

The people behind code curious

code curious is run entirely by volunteers who believe a more diverse tech industry is a better one. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from our attendees and coaches is what keeps us going.

No new workshops are planned at the moment. In the meantime, there are plenty of ways to keep learning to code online — take a look at our links and resources.
